I Cru

Il Rosso di Ludovico

DOC Sicilia Riserva

Nothing is ever taken for granted when two men, who live their lives with intensity and passion, meet and, in front of a good glass of wine, they think about the future and the redemption of their land. That's how the President of the Orestiadi Foundation Ludovico Corrao and the President of the Cantine Ermes Rosario Di Maria, in 2008, thought and gave life to the Tenute Orestiadi and the Project Orestiadi Ludovico, with the same passion, strength and conviction with which every man creates and shapes every day his future. At that moment Ludovico was born, a tribute to a man who knew how to live with essentiality and elegance the purity of life, savouring every day its scents, sounds and colours.

Black Soil

On the gentle hills of the Trapani hinterland, we find this type of land, rich in silt-clay substances, compact and resistant to drought. Thanks to its characteristics it appears to be the ideal habitat for the farming of many varieties, of both red and white grapes, and becomes for us the perfect soil for the cultivation of our Syrah and Nero d\'Avola. The latter is used as varietal as well as blended for Ludovico, wine dedicated to Ludovico Corrao and the jewel in the crown of the cellar.
